This historic corner edifice lies at the most important junction in Częstochowa – that of the Holy Virgin Mary Avenue and Kościuszki Avenue. The house was constructed between 1894 – 1907 in the neo-gothic style. It was the seat of public institutions and a place of residence of local factory owners. At the beginning of XXth century, Merchant House held trading courses and was the first kind of trading school in Częstochowa. Building was renovated in 2006 – restoration involved reconstruction of the corner tower and neo-gothic details of the building, which were not visible after the war.
