Museum of Częstochowa Archdiocese exhibits includes religious art from Częstochowa and the surrounding area, created in various periods and bearing artistic, as well as historical and cultural significance. Some of the sculptures worth mentioning include a Virgin Mary with Child dated approx. 1430, statues of Christ and figures of saints, such as St. Martin of Mstów from around 1500 and beautifully wrought statue of St. Joachim from the mid-18 century. Among the paintings most represent saints close to the Polish spiritual tradition. An interesting part of the collection consists of numismatic items and medals issued on various ecclesiastical occasions and religious festivities; these exhibits also tell the history of the Church.
