Existing since 15th century, Jasna Góra library is divided into new and old part. Library contains about 6 thousand of old prints and medieval illuminated manuscripts, including the "forbidden books". The volumes are stored in wooden cases – boxes. The walls form bookcases and empty parts of the walls are covered with richly inlaid wood paneling. Additional treasure of the Library are two inlaid tables from the 18th century. Their size indicates that they were made inside the Library.
